Offer Description

We are seeking highly motivated postdoctoral researchers interested in applying for a Marie Skłodowska-Curie Postdoctoral Fellowship (MSCA PF) with the University of Burgos (UBU) as host institution.
The proposed fellowship will be hosted by a research group specialized in quality of life, disability and occupational therapy, with a strong focus on ageing, stroke, motor disability, and healthy ageing from an interdisciplinary health sciences perspective.

If the MSCA Postdoctoral Fellowship is successfully obtained, the selected researcher will actively conduct research aimed at improving the quality of life of older adults and people with disabilities, addressing aspects related to stroke, motor impairments of different aetiologies, geriatrics, frailty, and healthy ageing. Additionally, contributions are expected in the analysis and interpretation of clinical and psychosocial data, preparation of high-quality scientific publications, and collaboration in competitive national and European research projects. If the candidate obtains the MSCA PF, he/she will work in this research group:

The Universidad de Burgos (UBU) is a medium-sized public university located in Burgos, Spain. Founded in 1994, UBU is a young and dynamic institution with more than 8,000 students across seven faculties.

UBU has a strong track record in European research programmes, currently participating in over 40 active EU-funded projects, including several coordinated by UBU.

UBU hosts more than 90 research groups across five main areas (Sciences, Engineering, Health Sciences, Social Sciences, and Humanities), including consolidated groups in occupational therapy, rehabilitation sciences, psychology, and health research.

Grant Call Details

The Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions (MSCA) are among the most prestigious European funding schemes supporting researchers' careers through international mobility, research excellence, and interdisciplinary training.

The MSCA Postdoctoral Fellowship (PF) enables experienced researchers (PhD holders) to develop an independent research project in close collaboration with a host institution and an academic supervisor.

Proposals should include a strong training-through-research plan, integrating:

- Scientific excellence in health sciences and quality of life research
- Advanced research, methodological, and transferable skills
- International, interdisciplinary, and socially impactful research

- Psychosocial and educational aspects of health and disability

Skills/Qualifications

Applicants must:

- Hold a PhD in Health Sciences, Occupational Therapy, Psychology, Rehabilitation, Medicine, Nursing, or related disciplines
- Comply with the MSCA mobility rule (not having resided or worked in Spain for more than 12 months during the last 3 years)
- Demonstrate a strong research profile in quality of life, disability, or rehabilitation-related research
- Show high motivation and ability to develop an independent research project
- Spanish language skills are an asset (not mandatory)
