We are looking for a Senior Backend Developer – Python & AWS to join our teams and work with a leading international insurance client, contributing to the Disaster Recovery implementation of a strategic AWS cloud platform.

What will your responsibilities be?

- Understand the platform architecture and the design documentation related to the Disaster Recovery (DR) solution.
- Design and develop Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions using Terraform or OpenTofu to create and manage the required cloud resources.
- Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines to recover users, application states, and other critical platform components.
- Develop and maintain backend services using Python.
- Build backup and recovery mechanisms, including data replication and reconciliation processes.
- Implement unit tests and end-to-end tests to ensure solution quality and reliability.
- Create and maintain Disaster Recovery procedures and technical documentation.
- Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders including security, data,



technology, product, legal, and client teams.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements such as GDPR and DORA.
- Support tenancy isolation, consumption monitoring, and platform consistency across environments.

What profile are we looking for?

- Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Telecommunications, or a related field.
- Strong experience in backend development with Python.
- Experience with Shell scripting.
- Hands-on experience with AWS services, including Cognito, IAM, Lambda, Secrets Manager, Parameter Store, KMS, CodePipeline, and CodeBuild.
- Experience working with MongoDB.
- Proven experience with Infrastructure as Code using Terraform or OpenTofu.
- Experience implementing backup and recovery mechanisms, master-slave architectures, and data replication/reconciliation processes.
- Solid experience working in AWS-native cloud environments.
- Understanding of Disaster Recovery principles and cloud resilience strategies.
- Fluent English, both written and spoken.

Nice to have

- Experience with Auth0.
- Knowledge of Pytest.
- Experience with OpenAPI standards.
- Experience working with Agile methodologies such as SAFe, Scrum, or Kanban.
- Knowledge of asynchronous programming and communication.
- Experience applying security best practices in software development.
- Knowledge of Identity and Access Management (IAM).
- AWS, MongoDB, or Agile-related certifications.
