Freelance Opportunity – Senior Scrum Master

We are currently looking for an experienced Senior Scrum Master to join a large-scale Agile programms in Brussels. This is an exciting opportunity to work within a mature Agile environment, supporting multiple delivery teams on high-impact projects.

Location: Brussels (Hybrid – minimum 2 days onsite per week)

Start Date: 1 September 2026

Contract: Until 31 December 2026 (with possible extension)

Your responsibilities

- Lead and facilitate all Scrum ceremonies while ensuring an effective Agile delivery process.
- Coach and support Agile teams, helping them continuously improve their way of working.
- Remove impediments, manage delivery risks, and promote collaboration across teams.
- Monitor sprint progress, team velocity, delivery flow, and Definition of Done.
- Manage and structure work within Jira, including initiatives, epics, releases, workflows, dashboards, and reporting.
- Coordinate cross-team dependencies through Scrum-of-Scrums and contribute to programme-level alignment.
- Collaborate closely with Product Owners,



stakeholders, and development teams to ensure successful delivery.

We're looking for professionals with:

✔️ 7+ years of experience as a Scrum Master.

✔️ Strong experience coaching Agile teams in complex, multi-team environments.

✔️ Proven experience with Scrum-of-Scrums or other scaled Agile frameworks.

✔️ Hands-on experience with Jira governance and Agile reporting.

✔️ Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.

✔️ Native or bilingual Dutch or French, combined with professional English.

Nice to have:

- PSM, CSM, or SAFe certifications.
- Experience with Jira Advanced Roadmaps.
- Experience working in large enterprise or mission-critical environments.
