Financial Security Data Product Owner

Key Responsibilities

- Define and own the vision, strategy, roadmap and governance for the Financial Security Data Product supporting KYC, AML, Sanctions and Embargo processes.
- Act as the key bridge between Financial Security, Data, IT, Risk, Compliance and Business teams, aligning business, regulatory and technology priorities.
- Collect, challenge, prioritize and consolidate business use cases into a common product backlog and define functional requirements with business and data specialists.
- Lead the end-to-end delivery of the Data Product in an Agile environment, working closely with Data Services and implementation teams.
- Lead Agile ceremonies, product planning, roadmap execution and delivery follow-up while ensuring alignment with business expectations.
- Define and implement a comprehensive Data Quality framework, including completeness, accuracy, consistency, timeliness and reliability KPIs, dashboards and controls.
- Drive the resolution of data quality issues and coordinate continuous improvements across business and technology teams.
- Ensure the Data Product is reusable, scalable and aligned with enterprise data architecture and governance standards.
- Promote adoption of the Data Product across the organization and identify new opportunities for data-driven Financial Security capabilities.
- Provide regular reporting on progress, risks, dependencies and delivery status to senior stakeholders.

Experience Required

- Minimum 7 years of relevant professional experience in Data, Product Management,



Business Analysis, Financial Security or a related domain.
- Strong hands-on experience with Data Products, Data Governance, Data Modelling and Data Quality Management.
- Proven experience in Agile Product Ownership, including Product Backlog Management, prioritization and Agile delivery.
- Good understanding of SQL and data analysis concepts, enterprise data platforms and data-driven solutions.
- Strong knowledge of Financial Security, particularly KYC, AML, Sanctions & Embargo processes.
- Demonstrated experience in stakeholder management and cross-functional project leadership, preferably in a banking or financial services environment.
- Experience working within a regulatory environment and translating business/regulatory requirements into data solutions.
- Knowledge of Azure Data Platform, Data Mesh/Data Fabric, Power BI, Metadata Management, MDM or Data Catalog solutions is an advantage.
- Strong strategic and analytical mindset with the ability to operate at both high-level product strategy and detailed delivery level.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence senior stakeholders without formal authority.
- Fluent English is mandatory. Professional working proficiency in Dutch and/or French is preferred.
- Master's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Business Engineering, Economics, Mathematics, Information Systems or equivalent experience.
- Hybrid working model: approximately 50% onsite / 50% remote in Belgium.
