About the job
THE INTERNSHIP
An opportunity to gain experience in applying your AI abilities and marketing and social media communication learnings for a European industry association in the packaging and hospitality segment that is seeking to modernise its communication, boost its visibility and enhance its recruitment drive across Europe.
Read through to the very end to see how to apply.
The association - 360° Foodservice - supports members in the field of packaging and the hospitality sector in understanding, managing and complying with EU regulation and communicating about this to internal and external audiences.
You will be working directly on the launch of a fresh new, proactive approach to the association's marketing and communication that connects with people effectively across social media, making good use of AI to make this happen.
You will also be harnessing AI and appropriate communication channels to help 360° Foodservice boost membership from about twenty companies today to fifty or more companies in the coming 18 months.
This opportunity is only for a “self-starter” type of person, able to think for themselves and work independently in a small team environment. An education or background in marketing, communication and social media and ability in using various AI tools is essential. We bring the content, you help us channel it.
YOUR PROFILE
Higher education in marketing and sales; communications; social media management; and use of artificial intelligence.
You do NOT need to know about the EU and its policies and legislative system for this opportunity (although knowledge/interest in this would be a bonus) but you do need an enthusiasm for AI and communication an interest in industry and business.
We look for “self-starter” type people who are inquisitive,
can solve problems and work independently but always as team players. To be successful in our environment you must be able to think for yourself, come with ideas on how a question can be answered or a problem solved. Guidance will come in return. You need to be great on details, have good organisational skills and be stress-resilient.
Good written and oral communication skills in English are essential to ensure you can manage the AI outputs effectively so that they are clear and coherent, accurate and concise. In the Brussels Bubble, ability in other languages is an obvious asset.
The “devil” is in the detail of policy and regulation. To be effective in the government relations field, we must be detail-oriented as a business and then able to communicate about key details in a carefully focused, precise and accurate way. We need to ensure that use of AI in our communication supports that. So, if you are an “approximate” kind of person, we probably won’t be a “fit”.
And finally, it will help if you have a good sense of humour and like dogs, as we have two that often turn up for work.
