About the role

As PR Marketing Manager, you will lead Chery's corporate communications and public relations activities in BeLux. This strategic role will be instrumental in building the company's reputation, developing trusted relationships with government authorities, media, industry stakeholders, and executing high-profile PR and BTL initiatives that strengthen Chery's brand presence in the BeLux market.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop and execute PR and corporate communication strategies
- Maintain and expand relationships with journalists, media houses, and industry press
- Manage communication with government bodies, regulatory institutions, and public stakeholders
- Lead press releases, media events, product launches, and crisis communication
- Monitor public perception and manage reputation risks proactively
- Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and official engagements
- Coordinate closely with HQ communications and marketing teams
- Lead the planning and execution of BTL (Below-the-Line) marketing activities, ensuring consistent and impactful brand engagement across key audiences.

organize, and execute large-scale corporate and marketing events, including new product launch events, brand launch and repositioning events, media test drive programs, press conferences and media briefings, dealer and partner events, participation in major automotive exhibitions, including the Brussels Motor Show (BMS) and other relevant industry events
- Manage event agencies, vendors, budgets, logistics, and cross-functional coordination to ensure flawless execution.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of PR and BTL activities through post-event analysis and continuous improvement initiatives.

Your Profile

- Master’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Political Science, Business, or related field
- Senior-level experience in PR, corporate communications, or public affairs (8–12+ years preferred)
- Strong established network in Belgian media, government, and automotive/industrial sectors
- Proven experience in stakeholder management at senior/executive level
- Extensive experience planning and delivering large-scale BTL marketing activities and high-profile events, particularly within the automotive industry.
- Demonstrated experience organizing product launches, brand launch events, media test drives, and major automotive exhibitions such as the Brussels Motor Show (BMS) or equivalent international events.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple agencies, suppliers, media partners, and government stakeholders simultaneously.
- Ability to operate in sensitive and high-visibility communication environments
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Dutch, French, and English
- Strategic mindset with strong crisis communication capability
- Additional training in corporate communications, public affairs, or crisis management is highly desirable
- International education or executive communication programs (e.g., INSEAD, Solvay, ULB/UGent executive programs) is a plus
