A leading pharmaceutical company are looking to hire a HAZOP/LOPAlead position in Geel, Flemish region, Belgium. This is a freelance contract working on a hybrid model.

This team is responsible for safety studies throughout the entire lifecycle of their equipment—covering both projects (from basic engineering to as-built) and the remediation of safety studies for existing equipment.

As a HAZOP/LOPA Lead, you contribute to analyzing, structuring, and substantiating safety-related decisions for new and existing installations (including reactors, dryers, centrifuges, tanks, and utilities). You are responsible for the entire HAZOP/LOPA process (from preparation to reporting) and act as a sounding board regarding process safety.

Experience

- Knowledge of and experience in leading HAZOP/LOPA studies, both for projects and for the remediation of studies on existing equipment;
- Encourages and supports the identification and development of innovative technical solutions for safety issues and opportunities within processes;
- Fluency in Dutch & English.
- Master’s degree in Engineering (Chemical or Process Safety Engineering);
- Experience with process safety activities in the pharmaceutical or chemical industry.
