One year later, in 2023, we acquired ABL, the leading German EV charger manufacturer, which has allowed us to have a stronger presence in Europe. /p pGet in charge with Wallbox! /p pThe Head of Purchases will be responsible for leading Wallbox’s general purchasing strategy, with a strong focus on electronic components and key materials for EV chargers. This role is critical to ensuring cost competitiveness, supply continuity, quality, and scalability in a fast‑growing and highly dynamic environment. The position will drive strategic sourcing, supplier negotiations, risk management, and cost optimization, working closely with Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, and Finance teams. /p h3Key Responsibilities /h3 ul liStrategic Sourcing: Define and execute the global purchasing and sourcing strategy aligned with Wallbox’s growth and industrial roadmap. /li liElectronics Category Management: Lead procurement of electronic components (PCBs, semiconductors, power electronics, connectors, cables, sensors, etc.) specifically for EV chargers. /li liSupplier Negotiation Contracts: Manage and negotiate strategic supplier agreements, including pricing, lead times, capacity commitments, and long‑term contracts. /li liRisk Mitigation:
Develop and maintain a robust supplier base, implementing dual‑sourcing and risk‑mitigation strategies. /li liCost Optimization: Lead cost‑reduction initiatives through should‑cost analysis, value engineering, and strategic negotiation. /li liCross‑Functional Collaboration (NPI): Partner with Engineering and Industrialization teams during New Product Introduction (NPI) to ensure cost efficiency, material availability, and manufacturability. /li liMarket Intelligence: Monitor global market trends (semiconductors, electronics, raw materials) and proactively anticipate supply chain risks. /li liCompliance ESG: Ensure purchasing processes comply with quality, ESG, and sustainability standards. /li liTeam Leadership: Build, lead, mentor, and develop a high‑performing global purchasing team. /li liKPI Management: Track and report key purchasing metrics, including cost savings, supplier performance, OTIF (On‑Time, In‑Full), lead times, and risk indicators. /li /ul h3Required Experience Background /h3 ul liExperience: 10+ years of proven experience in Purchasing, Procurement, or Strategic Sourcing within international environments. /li liIndustry Expertise: Strong background in electronics or industrial components (power electronics, PCBs, connectors, cables, semiconductors). /li liNegotiation Track Record: Proven experience in complex supplier negotiation and continuous cost optimization. /li liGlobal Supply Chain:
