TCI Biotech Spain B.V. is part of TCI Co., Ltd., a global Contract Development and Manufacturing Organization (CDMO) of nutraceuticals and cosmeceuticals with production sites in Taiwan, China, and the United States. We are now establishing our first European production plant for dietary supplements in Barcelona, Spain.

Position Overview:
As the Human Resources professional, you will play a key role in shaping and executing HR for our European team. You will oversee HR activities, ensure legal compliance, and liaise with TCI’s general headquarters in Taiwan to align local practices with global policies. In addition, you will manage relationships with external stakeholders, such as payroll companies, support legal contract reviews, assist with organizational structuring, and host regular company events to ensure competence and wellness of employees and strengthen employer branding. The role also includes occasional support for sales and marketing events, such as the annual Vitafoods exhibition, to better understand the business and explore recruitment opportunities. Reporting directly to senior management, you will be instrumental in driving key initiatives, ensuring compliance, and fostering a positive workplace culture.
Key Responsibilities:
- Global Policy Liaison:
Collaborate with TCI’s global headquarters in Taiwan to ensure the branch office stays aligned with global policies, procedures, and best practices.
- Recruitment & Onboarding: Oversee recruitment processes to improve time-to-hire and ensure effective onboarding. Liaise with external partners, such as our Employer on Record, to manage remote staff.
- Employee Engagement & Retention: Foster a positive workplace culture through initiatives that enhance employee engagement and retention, aiming for a 90% retention rate.
- Training & Development: Collaborate with headquarters to manage training programs that enhance employee skills and leadership capabilities, with a target of at least 90% employee participation in quarterly sessions.
- Compensation & Benefits: Lead the review and execution of compensation and benefits programs to ensure competitiveness and alignment with company objectives.
- Compliance & Employee Relations: Ensure full compliance with Spanish labor laws and company policies. Serve as the point of contact for employee relations, resolving workplace conflicts with professionalism.
- Legal & Contract Review: Review employment contracts, vendor agreements, and legal documents in collaboration with internal and external legal counsel, ensuring compliance with local laws.
- Performance Management: Lead the performance review process, providing timely and constructive feedback, and establish and manage Performance Improvement Plans for employees.
- HR Operations & Administration: Manage payroll, benefits,
and HR systems in coordination with external stakeholders, ensuring data accuracy and GDPR compliance. Monitor absenteeism and maintain a rate below 2%.
- External Stakeholder Management: Manage relationships with external service providers, and Payroll partners.
- Organizational Structuring: Support organizational structuring to align with company growth and evolving business needs.
- Sales & Marketing Event Support: Occasionally assist with sales and marketing events, such as the annual Vitafoods exhibition, to explore recruitment opportunities.
- Company Events & Employer Branding: Organize quarterly company events to enhance employee wellness and promote employer branding.
Requirements:
- 7-10 years of experience in a senior HR role, ideally within a multinational environment, with exposure to legal responsibilities.
- Strong understanding of Spanish labor law, international HR practices, and contract management
- Proven experience in recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, compliance, and legal contract review.
- Ability to work effectively with remote employees and manage relationships with external consulting firms and service providers.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with fluency in both Spanish and English.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- High level of integrity, confidentiality, and professionalism in handling sensitive HR and legal matters.
