About the role
We are seeking a talented Senior Game Designer to join our dynamic team in Barcelona, Spain. This position involves contributing to the development of an exciting, yet-to-be-announced cross-platform Strategy and ARPG game. The adecuado candidate will take charge of both the creative and technical aspects of the project, working in a hybrid model that allows for three days of in-office collaboration each week.

What you'll do
- Spearhead the design and execution of innovative game features, guiding them from the initial idea stage through to their final launch.
- Collaborate closely with production teams, product managers, and creative leads to achieve defined key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Develop game frameworks that are designed to sustain player interest and engagement over extended periods, particularly over five-year lifecycles.
- Utilize data-driven insights to influence feature roadmaps and enhance optimization strategies for the game.
- Produce high-caliber design outputs for a prestigious mobile gaming title that is recognized globally.
- Conduct thorough playtests and gather feedback to refine gameplay mechanics and enhance user experience.
- Mentor junior designers and provide guidance on best practices in game design and development.
- Stay updated on industry trends and competitor strategies to ensure our game remains competitive and innovative.
- Facilitate cross-functional meetings to ensure alignment between design, engineering, and marketing teams.
- Create and maintain comprehensive design documentation to support the development process and ensure clarity among team members.
- Analyze player data post-launch to inform ongoing updates and feature enhancements.
- Champion a player-first approach in all design decisions, ensuring that player satisfaction is at the forefront of our development efforts.
Requirements
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in roles such as Product Manager or Feature Designer within the gaming industry.
- Demonstrated success in both pre-launch and post-launch phases of game development.
- Extensive knowledge in crafting progression systems, reward mechanisms, and game economies that enhance player engagement.
- Proven ability to manage diverse stakeholders and work collaboratively with various specialized teams.
- Strong understanding of the mobile gaming landscape and familiarity with current trends and best practices.
- A proactive and solution-focused approach, with the capability to thrive in a fast-paced work environment.

- A background in art, technology, or design that complements game development.
- Experience in developing monetization strategies for live games to maximize revenue potential.
