The nominated Risk and Opportunity Manager is responsible for managing risk and opportunities relevant to the accountable Manager’s business. The role covers the entire context, including the business with its operational work and executed processes.
Responsibilities

- Act in the spirit of the Airbus Group Policy CDS-009 ‘Enterprise Risk Management’ and perform the following activities:
- Establish context and prepare the ROM plan.
- Schedule, initiate, manage with ROM stakeholders and execute ROM process activities (according to Figure 1).
- Clarify accountabilities, especially R/O owner and R/O response action owner.
- Promote an anticipation and ROM-oriented mind‑set.
- Oversee close follow‑up of successful execution of risk treatment actions.
- Provide assurance/advise to management regarding the achievement of:
- Reliability of financial reporting.
- Airbus Group/Division’s capability to identify, assess, respond to, take control actions and monitor risks & opportunities on a timely basis throughout the Group, consistent with Airbus Group /Division objectives.
- ERM system design and operational effectiveness.
- Transparency and quality of risk & opportunity monitoring and reporting.
- Compliance with risk & opportunity rules, regulations and procedures.
- Implement and operate the risk & opportunity management strategy.
