University of A Coruña – Earth Science Researcher (First Stage Researcher – R1). This is a permanent, full‑time position (35 hours per week) funded through the European Union/Next Generation EU programme. The role starts on 1 Sep****.

Purpose of the Contract

Analysis and interpretation of data obtained in the project, with a focus on reconstructing climatic impacts on freshwater ecosystems. The selected candidate will collaborate on all activities related to the project agreement.

Responsibilities

- Carry out analysis using statistical techniques and interpret geochemical data arising within the project framework.

- Collaborate on project‑related activities and contribute to the overall research objectives.

- Reconstruct climatic impacts on freshwater ecosystems based on project data.

Qualifications and Selection Criteria

Candidates must achieve a minimum overall score of 70 points across the following five blocks.



The minimum score to be placed on the waiting list is 60 points.

- Undergraduate academic record (maximum 20 points). Additional degrees are weighted by the number of credits of each degree using the formula (CT1?NT1+CT2?NT2)/(CT1+CT2).

- Training in statistical techniques and data management (maximum 10 points; 1 point per 10 hours of training).

- Training in Geographic Information Systems (maximum 5 points; 1 point per 10 hours of training).

- Experience in environmental work (maximum 20 points; 10 points per year).

- Experience with biogeochemical and/or molecular analysis techniques (maximum 15 points; 4 points per year).

- Participation in scientific conferences (maximum 5 points; 1 point per conference). xqbhyrx

Contract Details

Job Location: CICA. Working days: Monday to Friday, 09:00–14:00 and 15:30–17:30.

Contract Duration: 7 months, ending 31 Mar 2027.
