In this role you lead protection and control engineering for HV substations within the Transmission u0026amp; Distribution team. You will guide design, review, and mentoring of engineers delivering secondary systems, from concept to construction. You ensure safe, reliable operation while upholding high engineering standards across the group. The position blends hands-on technical leadership with cross-functional collaboration to deliver complex substation projects at scale.

• Lead design and engineering of protection and control systems for HV substations, including protection schemes, control hardware, and substation automation
• Define protection philosophies, control architectures, and communication interfaces per project and standards
• Review and deliver secondary engineering artifacts: schematics, interlocking, relay settings, coordination studies
• Ensure SCADA integration and primary equipment compatibility across projects
• Provide technical support during construction, testing,



and commissioning; review relay settings and testing procedures
• Mentor and lead protection and control teams; ensure quality and standards compliance
• Coordinate activities across primary, civil, system studies, and commissioning teams; interface with clients, contractors, and vendors
• Contribute to development of engineering standards, procedures, and best practices within the organization
Responsabilidades
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering
• Typically 12-15+ years of protection and control engineering experience for HV substations
• xqbhyrx Proven track record delivering secondary systems across concept, design, and commissioning phases
• Experience providing technical leadership and mentoring within engineering teams
• Strong expertise in protection and control design, substation automation, SCADA integration, and relay settings
• Experience with AutoCAD and protection relay configuration/analysis tools
