About the role
We are seeking a dedicated and strategic Operations Manager to oversee the daily functions and overall workspace experience at our Valencia studio. This position requires a proactive approach to managing operational processes, ensuring compliance with company policies and local regulations, and fostering a positive, inclusive environment for all team members. The successful candidate will work closely with the Creative Operations Director to coordinate projects, manage budgets, and improve workflows, ultimately supporting the studio's mission to produce high-quality games. This role is vital in maintaining an efficient, safe, and welcoming workplace that aligns with 2K's standards and values. The Operations Manager will serve as a key point of contact for local stakeholders and will be instrumental in implementing initiatives that enhance the studio's operational excellence and employee satisfaction.

What you'll do
- Ensure that all studio operations are in full compliance with 2K and Take‑Two policies, as well as Spanish legal and regulatory requirements.
- Act as the primary local contact for the implementation and execution of 2K and Take‑Two projects within the Valencia studio, coordinating with general teams as needed.
- Support the Operations Director by assisting with the development, tracking, and reporting of performance metrics for the studio and the broader division.
- Manage the studio's annual budget, including planning, monitoring expenses, and ensuring financial goals are met while maintaining cost efficiency.
- Identify operational inefficiencies or bottlenecks and develop strategies to improve workflows, streamline processes, and optimize resource allocation.
- Oversee procurement activities, including vendor selection, contract management, and ensuring compliance with company policies.
- Approve studio expenses within authorized limits and ensure proper documentation and accountability for all financial transactions.
- Maintain and improve the physical workspace, coordinating infrastructure upgrades, safety measures, and facilities management to support a productive environment.
- Foster a workplace culture that emphasizes diversity, equity, and inclusion, promoting a collaborative and respectful environment for all employees.
- Lead initiatives to enhance the studio's workspace, making it welcoming, functional, and aligned with the company's brand standards.
- Oversee daily operational activities, including maintenance, security, and health and safety protocols, ensuring the studio environment is safe and efficient.
- Collaborate with HR and other departments to support employee well‑being, professional development, and engagement initiatives.
- Organize and support studio events, celebrations, and community‑building activities that reflect the studio's diverse workforce.
- Lead and mentor a multidisciplinary team, including administrative staff, facilities personnel, and workplace experience coordinators, setting clear objectives and fostering professional growth.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures that support operational excellence, compliance, and a positive employee experience.
- Serve as a liaison between the studio and external vendors, service providers, and local authorities to ensure smooth operations and compliance.
- Continuously evaluate operational performance and implement frameworks for ongoing improvement, leveraging data and feedback to inform decisions.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or a related field; an MBA is preferred.
- Fluency in both English and Spanish, with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proven experience in operations management, ideally within a global or creative industry environment such as technology, entertainment, or gaming.
- Demonstrated ability to manage budgets, vendor relationships, and procurement processes effectively.
- Strong organizational skills with a keen eye for detail and a high standard for workplace quality.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, capable of building strong relationships with internal teams, external partners, and local authorities.
- Experience in project management, with the ability to coordinate multiple initiatives simultaneously.
- Analytical skills to interpret operational data and develop actionable insights for continuous improvement.
- Leadership qualities that inspire collaboration, support talent development, and promote a positive work environment.
- Knowledge of health and safety standards, facilities management, and local Spanish labor laws is advantageous.
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work effectively in a fast‑paced environment.

- Previous experience working within the video game or tech industry, understanding the unique needs of creative teams.
- Knowledge of Spanish labor laws, health and safety regulations, and compliance standards related to corporate facilities.

- Skills in change management and process improvement methodologies such as Lean or Six Sigma.
