What you'll do
- Conduct thorough root cause analyses for both internal and customer-reported issues, employing statistical techniques such as Design of Experiments (DOE), Gage Repeatability and Reproducibility (Gage R&R;), and Six Sigma methodologies.
- Supervise validation processes for products and manufacturing processes, which includes testing of machinery and materials to ensure compliance with quality standards.
- Act as an analyst in managing change processes within the Agile Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) framework, ensuring that all changes are documented and communicated effectively.
- Offer quality validation and statistical analysis support for new product development initiatives and sourcing activities to ensure they meet quality benchmarks.
- Oversee quality system processes, including Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA), Supplier Corrective Action Requests (SCAR), internal audits, document management, and training programs.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, manufacturing, and operations, to drive improvements in quality metrics and overall product performance.
- Prepare detailed reports and presentations on quality performance metrics to share with stakeholders and guide decision-making processes.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives,
leveraging data to identify trends and areas for enhancement in product quality and operational efficiency.
Requirements
- A Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Sciences, or a closely related technical discipline is required.
- A minimum of 3 years of hands‑on experience in quality engineering or quality systems within a manufacturing environment is essential.
- Familiarity with Quality Management Systems such as ISO9001, ISO13485, or FDA21CFR820 is crucial for this role.
- Demonstrated capability to lead quality improvement projects and perform comprehensive root cause analyses effectively.
- Proficiency in using AgilePLM or comparable product lifecycle management software is necessary for managing product changes and documentation.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to interpret complex data sets and make informed decisions.
Nice to have
- Certification in Six Sigma or a similar quality improvement methodology would be advantageous.
- Experience in the medical device industry or other regulated sectors is a plus.
- Knowledge of statistical software tools for data analysis and quality control processes.
