Role Overview
We are APM Terminals, and we are looking for a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to lead the finance function across the cluster of Spain Gateways, including Valencia, Gijón, and Barcelona, as well as other related legal entities.
You will act as a strategic business partner to the Managing Director, driving financial performance, governance, and long‑term value creation. This role combines financial leadership with operational insight, enabling data‑driven decisions across the business.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the finance function, covering accounting, planning, performance management, governance, risk,
and compliance
- Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting across processes including Record-to-Report, Order-to-Cash, and Procure-to-Pay
- Drive financial planning, analysis, and investment evaluations to support strategic and operational decisions
- Establish and maintain robust internal control, risk management, tax, and compliance frameworks
- Partner with the Managing Director and leadership team to execute business strategy and improve financial outcomes
- Lead finance transformation initiatives (e.g., system changes, process improvements, offshoring) and enhance finance capabilities
- Manage stakeholder relationships across headquarters, regional teams, joint venture partners, and external entities
What We Are Looking For:

- Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Economics, with a professional qualification (ACCA, CPA, RA, or equivalent preferred)
- Significant experience (15+ years) in finance leadership roles,
including business partnering or controlling at business unit or group level
- Strong expertise in financial planning, reporting, accounting systems, and performance management
- Strategic mindset with the ability to influence, advise, and support executive decision‑making
- Proven leadership skills with experience managing teams and developing finance talent in complex, matrix organisations
