What you’ll do

- Lead the planning and execution of construction projects, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and specifications.
- Coordinate with architects, engineers, and subcontractors to develop comprehensive project plans and schedules.
- Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress, identify potential issues, and implement corrective actions as necessary.
- Prepare and manage project budgets, including cost estimates, forecasts, and financial reporting.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, as well as company policies and safety standards.
- Facilitate communication among project stakeholders, providing updates on progress, challenges, and solutions.
- Review and approve project documentation, including drawings, specifications, and change orders.
- Mentor and guide junior engineers and project staff, fostering their professional development and growth.




- Implement best practices in project management and construction techniques to enhance efficiency and quality.
- Participate in project meetings, providing insights and recommendations based on technical expertise and project experience.
- Manage risk assessment and mitigation strategies throughout the project lifecycle.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of processes and procedures within the engineering team and the organization as a whole.

Requirements

- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in project engineering or construction management, preferably in a commercial or industrial setting.
- Proven track record of successfully managing multiple projects simultaneously, with a focus on delivering results.
- Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and regulations.
- Proficiency in project management software and tools, such as Microsoft Project, Primavera, or similar applications.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.




- Familiarity with budgeting and financial management in a construction context.

Nice to have

- Professional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent certification.
- Experience with Building Information Modeling (BIM) and other advanced construction technologies.
