As a Senior Tunnel Engineer in AECOM's Domestic Transportation team in Spain, you lead tunnel design and supervision for rock and soil conditions, shaping key underground projects. You will oversee underground structures, mentoring junior engineers and guiding multidisciplinary teams across geographies. • Lead design and supervision of tunnel projects in rock or soils, including drawings and specifications
• Apply tunnelling construction methods such as TBM, NATM, SCL
• Design and oversee underground structures like cut-and-cover tunnels, shafts, and underground stations
• Perform tunnel support system calculations, produce specifications and detailed drawings
• Coordinate complex technical challenges during tunnelling project development, guiding the team and client

Responsabilidades
• Master's degree in Civil, Geological, or Mining Engineering
• 8-10 years of proven tunnelling experience
• Geotechnical experience is highly valued
• Fluency in Spanish and English (spoken and written)
• Proficiency in geotechnical software for tunnels design (PLAXIS 2D/3D, RS2, Roc Support)
• Solid understanding of Spanish codes and international standards (AASHTO, ACI, ASTM, Eurocodes, SBC)
• International project experience is highly valued
• Strong communication skills
