The role involves architecting, designing, and scaling the system that powers data processing for large enterprises, managing petabytes of data across thousands of nodes. /p h3Responsibilities /h3 pAs a Staff Engineer you will: /p ul liDrive the future of data architecture by contributing to the open‑source Apache Iceberg project. /li liImplement new features in Iceberg and work with other teams to integrate performance improvements into the Cloudera stack. /li liCollaborate with Product Managers and customers to shape Iceberg for modern data lakes. /li liDevelop new features using modern Java platforms. /li liGain in‑depth understanding of components across the Cloudera stack, focusing on Iceberg. /li liWork on massive‑scale distributed systems spanning 100s to 1,000s of production nodes. /li liDebug deployment issues, perform root cause analysis, and resolve system failures. /li liCollaborate with cross‑functional team members and stakeholders. /li /ul h3Qualifications (Required) /h3 ul liBachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent with 6+ years of experience; Master’s degree with 4‑6 years; or PhD with 2‑4 years.
