ph3Role Summary /h3 /brpThe ME MBO Product Owner is responsible for defining, delivering, and continuously improving the MBO associated finance systems product capabilities that underpin the financial and operational flows for our global Meetings Events business. /p /brpThis role owns the product lifecycle for how our mid-back office is configured and built out to support ME financial processes, and how data flows from upstream ME operational booking flows or platforms into downstream finance systems accurately and automatically. /p /brpWorking closely with ME operations, Finance, Technology, and platform vendors, the role ensures our MBO and associated finance systems capabilities are scalable, automated, and aligned to the needs of our ME teams and customers globally. /p /brpPlease note this is a 12 month fixed term contract. /p /brh3What You'll Do /h3 /brh3Product Ownership, Strategy Roadmap /h3 /brul /brliOwn the general product roadmap for the ME mid and back office and associated finance systems, with a primary focus on our MBO and how it supports ME financial processes and downstream flows. /li /brliDefine and communicate the product vision, strategy, and roadmap in alignment with the ME Single Operating Model programme and the broader Finance Systems strategy. /li /brliTranslate business requirements into well-defined user stories and acceptance criteria for development QA teams. /li /brliParticipate actively in sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives, maintaining a continuous and well-groomed backlog. /li /brliWork closely with adjacent Finance Systems product managers across invoicing, payments, and finance modules to ensure ME requirements are represented consistently across the wider product portfolio. /li /brliAct as the escalation point for ME product prioritisation and cross-product dependency management. /li /brliUse data and insights to define and track key success metrics. Prioritise initiatives that deliver real-world business and customer value. /li /brliIdentify opportunities to improve automation across ME operational and financial workflows, reducing manual intervention and improving consistency across markets. /li /brliProactively solicit feedback from stakeholders and end users on an ongoing basis, incorporating insights into backlog prioritisation and roadmap planning to drive continuous improvement. /li /brliStay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices relevant to ME operations and finance systems, continuously identifying opportunities to improve our product approach and delivery. /li /br /ul /brh3Requirements Management /h3 /brul /brliCollaborate with ME operational leaders, regional market teams, Finance stakeholders, and the wider Finance Systems product team to gather, analyse, and document requirements. /li /brliFacilitate discovery workshops to understand current state ME processes and define the target state. /li /brliEnsure requirements are clearly documented and communicated to the technical team in a format that enables accurate and efficient delivery.
/li /brliContinuously review and refine requirements based on feedback received throughout delivery. /li /br /ul /brh3Development Oversight /h3 /brul /brliWork closely with technical and development teams to ensure the successful and timely delivery of ME MBO features and enhancements. /li /brliConduct regular sprint reviews and participate actively in the agile development process. /li /br /ul /brh3Stakeholder Vendor Management /h3 /brul /brliAct as the key finance systems product contact for ME operational platform and MBO vendors, aligning vendor roadmaps and delivery plans with internal priorities. /li /brliWork closely with ME operational leaders, regional market teams, Finance stakeholders, and Finance Systems colleagues to understand pain points, prioritise enhancements, and validate outcomes. /li /brliSolicit feedback from stakeholders on an ongoing basis, incorporating insights into backlog prioritisation and roadmap planning. /li /brliSupport ME commercial, customer and onboarding teams with clear definitions of product capabilities and constraints. /li /brliSupport L2/L3 support teams with product knowledge, issue prioritisation, and root cause resolution. /li /br /ul /brh3Testing Quality Assurance /h3 /brul /brliDefine testing requirements and work closely with QA teams to ensure the product meets high quality standards before release. /li /brliEnsure defects are clearly documented, prioritised, and resolved in a timely manner. /li /brliConduct and coordinate user acceptance testing to validate that delivered features meet stakeholder expectations. /li /br /ul /brh3Analytics Reporting /h3 /brul /brliTrack and report on key performance indicators related to ME MBO platform performance and adoption. /li /brliUse data and insights to inform prioritisation decisions and demonstrate the value delivered by the product team. /li /brliRegularly review performance metrics with stakeholders to refine the roadmap and ensure delivery remains aligned to business outcomes. /li /brliContinuously review delivered capabilities post-release, using performance data and stakeholder feedback to identify further improvement opportunities. /li /br /ul /brh3Governance, Controls Documentation /h3 /brul /brliProduce and maintain clear product documentation including functional specifications, release notes, and capability guides to support learning and development teams, other product teams, and our support teams. /li /brliEnsure documentation is kept current as the product evolves and new capabilities are released. /li /brliEnsure ME MBO products meet regulatory, compliance, and financial control requirements across all operating markets. /li /brliPartner with Finance, Tax and Risk teams to ensure compliance and governance requirements are embedded into product design.
