Experteer Overview
As Team Lead for the Giger team, you will steer a global group of engineers to shape Deel’s internal developer sandbox platform. You’ll own architecture, roadmap, and delivery for a high-impact internal product that accelerates development and testing at scale. You’ll balance technical depth with people leadership, fostering a culture of collaboration, learning, and engineering excellence. You’ll work closely with cross‑functional partners to align platform capabilities with business goals and strategic priorities.

Compensaciones / Incentivos
• Lead a distributed team of 6–8 engineers across time zones
• Mentor engineers and drive technical growth
• Define and execute the technical roadmap for the Giger sandbox platform
• Own architecture, implementation, and stability of the sandbox platform
• Manage on-call support and ensure incident response readiness
• Oversee control plane to underlying infrastructure within each sandbox
• Collaborate with DevOps, DBA, and InfoSec to align goals with the org
• Communicate challenges and solutions to stakeholders

Responsabilidades
• 10+ years of software engineering experience
• 5+ years in infrastructure with large-scale Kubernetes/AWS/GCP
• 3+ years of mentoring and leading distributed teams
• Experience with Postgres/MySQL
• Experience with Nats/Kafka and event-driven architectures
• Proven ability to design distributed systems with high performance, scalability, and availability
• Experience operating Kubernetes clusters at scale (1000+ nodes, 30k+ pods)
• Experience building or extending Kubernetes with operators/controllers or platform primitives
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
