We are looking for a Business Intelligence Engineer to help set up and deliver robust, structured reporting, analytics, models, automations, and AI initiatives for the ship with Amazon vertical in Europe. You will be a key contributor to shaping our strategic innovation program by equipping the project teams with insights into operational performance. This role requires a detail-oriented professional proficient in SQL, DW, and Python, capable of solving challenging data, reporting, and automation challenges while communicating effectively across functional teams at regional and integral levels. The position is based in Barcelona and reports to a Business Intelligence Manager.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop analytical solutions to business problems that utilize the highest standards of analytical rigor and data integrity.

- Recognize and adopt best practices in reporting and analysis: data integrity, test design, analysis, validation, and documentation.

- Write high-quality code to retrieve and analyze data.

- Analyze and solve business problems at their root, stepping back to understand the broader context.

- Design pragmatic analyses and automated metrics that add value to your business area.

- Understand data resources and how, when, and what to use (and what not to use).

- Develop analyses (whether fully formed or exploratory) for the business’ sake, not for analyses’ sake.

- Seek to understand the business objectives relevant to your area, align your work to those objectives, and deliver business value.





- Proactively and continually improve your level of knowledge about Amazon’s business and relevant data resources.

A Day in the Life

-

- Analyze business requirements and translate them into technical requirements, supported by senior colleagues for integration into a working, stable, and scalable system.

- Realize requirements independently for Business Intelligence and custom software development products.

- Create test cases and guide business stakeholders through the testing process.

- Present solutions and implemented features within weekly sync-ups with business stakeholders.

- Own maintenance and error handling of deployed solutions.

- Manage 1‑2 main projects in parallel, focusing on project delivery.

Basic Qualifications

-

- Experience in analyzing and interpreting data with Redshift, Oracle, NoSQL, etc.

- Experience with data visualization using Tableau, QuickSight, or similar tools.

- Experience with industry analytics visualization tools (e.g., Excel, Tableau, QuickSight, MicroStrategy, PowerBI) and statistical methods (e.g., t-test, Chi-squared).

- Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Python, Java, or R).

- Experience with SQL.

- Experience in the data/BI space.

Preferred Qualifications

- Master’s degree or advanced technical degree.

- Knowledge of data modeling and data pipeline design.

- Experience with statistical analysis and correlation analysis.
