Here, you will have the opportunity to influence strategic decisions, build products from the ground up, and see your work make a tangible difference at scale. /p pbThe Opportunity /b /p pWe are looking for an experienced Software/ Product Engineering Manager to lead the evolution of Nova, our flagship Digital Shelf Intelligence product. Nova brings together a rich ecosystem of Digital Commerce signals — spanning sales performance, digital shelf analytics, performance marketing, and more — enabling commercial teams to identify high-impact actions, win in digital channels, and delight consumers. /p pHaving successfully completed our first foundational year, Nova is entering an exciting growth phase. This role offers a rare opportunity to scale an internally incubated product from early development into a global cornerstone of PepsiCo’s Digital Commerce strategy. /p pYou will shape the engineering team, define the technical architecture, and determine how and when to evolve from BI-led solutions into a fully end-to-end application. Partnering closely with Product Management, you will translate vision into reality while balancing innovation, scalability, and delivery. /p h3Responsibilities /h3 pbProduct Delivery Execution /b /p ul liPartner with the Product Manager to translate product vision into a clear and achievable technical roadmap /li liOwn the end-to-end delivery of Nova, from data ingestion and modelling to user-facing features /li liDefine delivery cadence, rituals, and ways of working for a newly formed, multi-disciplinary squad (data engineers, BI engineers, data scientists, and software engineers)
/li liBalance short-term feature delivery with long-term investments in architecture and platform foundations /li /ul pbTechnical Leadership /b /p ul liSet the technical direction for Nova, collaborating with Data and Solution Architects on key design decisions /li liEvaluate and recommend the platform evolution strategy, including the transition from Power BI to custom-built applications /li liEnsure technical choices support the long-term product vision, including automation, “next best action” capabilities, and cross-functional integrations /li liDefine how Nova’s technology stack integrates with the broader PepsiCo Digital Commerce and enterprise ecosystem /li /ul pbEngineering Excellence /b /p ul liEstablish and embed engineering best practices across coding standards, data modelling, testing, CI/CD, documentation, and release management /li liEnsure data pipelines, models, and applications are designed for scalability, reliability, and performance /li liPromote reuse of existing platforms and components across PepsiCo, reducing duplication and increasing efficiency /li liActively manage technical debt, balancing speed to market with long-term platform health /li /ul pbTalent Team Development /b /p ul liBuild, lead, coach, and develop a high-performing, multi-disciplinary engineering team /li liFoster a culture of ownership, collaboration, technical excellence, and continuous improvement /li liGrow team capability and capacity to support ongoing product and business expansion /li /ul pbCollaboration Stakeholder Engagement /b /p ul liAct as the primary technical partner to the Nova Product Manager, sharing accountability for product success /li liWork closely with Data Architects, Solution Architects, BI and Data Engineering leaders to ensure alignment and shared standards /li liCollaborate with Platform and Infrastructure teams to address scalability and operational needs /li liEngage with business stakeholders to understand needs, showcase progress, and validate technical feasibility /li liMaintain strong collaboration with US-based Product and Engineering counterparts,
sharing knowledge while respecting local autonomy /li /ul h3Qualifications /h3 pbWhat You Bring /b /p ul li10+ years of experience in software or product engineering, including 3+ years leading distributed, multi-disciplinary teams across multiple time zones /li liProven experience leading engineering teams through early-stage product development or initial scaling phases /li liStrong track record of building teams from scratch, including role definition, hiring, and culture-setting /li liExperience working across data engineering, analytics, data science, and software development disciplines /li liSolid software engineering foundation with the ability to review code, assess architectures, and guide frontend and backend decisions /li liExperience with Elixir or comparable functional programming languages /li liFamiliarity with modern data platforms and tooling (e.g., Snowflake, dbt, Airflow, Azure, AWS) sufficient to lead data engineers effectively /li liUnderstanding of BI tools and their limitations, plus exposure to data science and machine learning integrations /li liExperience establishing or significantly improving engineering practices in growing or maturing environments /li liStrong coaching and mentoring capabilities with a passion for developing engineering talent /li liExcellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively with Product, Architecture, BI, DevOps, and business stakeholders /li liComfort operating in environments with ambiguity and evolving scope /li liStrong prioritization skills, balancing long-term scalability with short-term delivery /li liAbility to adapt leadership and communication style to different audiences /li liExperience in Retail or e-Commerce is a strong plus /li /ul h3Benefits /h3 ul liHybrid work model: combination of remote and collaborative office experience to enable innovation /li liEntrepreneurial environment in leading international company /li liProfessional growth possibilities learning opportunities /li liVariety of benefits to support your physical, emotional and financial wellbeing /li liVolunteering opportunities to help external communities /li /ul p*We encourage the diversity of applicants across gender, age, ethnicity, nationality, sexual orientation, social background, religion or belief and disability /p /p #J-18808-Ljbffr
