ppThe IIoT Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, and supporting Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) solutions that connect food and beverage processing equipment with cloud-based digital applications and advanced data analytics platforms. This role combines expertise in industrial automation, connectivity, cloud technologies, and data engineering to deliver scalable digital solutions that enable real-time monitoring, predictive maintenance, process optimization, asset performance management, and sustainability initiatives. This position can be based in Alcobendas (Spain), Naas (Ireland) or Bogota (Colombia), depending on the selected candidate. /ph3Responsibilities / Tasks /h3ulliIntegrate Siemens and Rockwell automation systems with cloud-based platforms, including Microsoft Azure, InfluxDB, and Databricks. /liliSupport the development of digital applications for equipment monitoring, asset performance management, predictive maintenance, energy management, water optimization, and production performance analytics. /liliCollaborate with Product Managers and Automation Engineers to define technical requirements. /liliImplement edge-to-cloud connectivity solutions for real-time data collection and monitoring. /liliDrive the standardization of digital architectures and integration frameworks. /liliEnsure IIoT solutions comply with OT cybersecurity standards and industry best practices. /liliImplement standardized industrial data models, asset hierarchies, and contextualized data structures. /liliSupport the development of reusable connectivity and analytics solutions. /liliIdentify opportunities to improve the reliability, scalability, and performance of digital products. /li /ulh3Your Profile / Qualifications /h3h3Educational Background /h3pBachelor's or Master's Degree in Electrical or Automation Engineering or Computer Science.
/ph3Professional Knowledge and Experience /h3ulli5+ years of experience in Industrial Automation, IIoT, Cloud Engineering, or Digital Solutions. /liliExperience delivering cloud-based software products using Microsoft Azure. /liliExperience working with InfluxDB and Databricks for time-series data management, analytics, and reporting. /liliStrong knowledge of PLC, SCADA, HMI, and industrial control systems within process or manufacturing industries. /liliProven experience working in Agile/Scrum environments. /liliKnowledge of Food Beverage processes. /liliAwareness of IEC 62443 and industrial cybersecurity principles. /liliFluent English (B2/C1) required.
