ppAs the Engineering Operations Manager for our Fab5 facility in Spain, you will be one of a select group of leaders responsible for overseeing the installation and commissioning of 300mm semiconductor equipment in a state-of-the‑art, greenfield RD fab. You will lead a team of engineers and operations assistants to bring new tools online and support the ramp‑up of wafer processing. In addition, you will drive improvements in equipment performance, process reliability, and operational efficiency across a wide range of semiconductor engineering disciplines. Onboarding and training will take place in Leuven, Belgium until mid‑2028, after which the position location will transfer to Malaga, Spain. /p h3What you will do /h3 h3Strategic leadership /h3 ul liDevelop strategies and business processes, in concert with your counterparts in Leuven, to optimize Fab performance and tool operations to ensure cycle time reduction, higher yield, faster learning speed, etc. /li liFoster a safety culture by enforcing rigorous environmental, health and safety protocols to ensure the wellbeing and continuity of site operations. /li liManage and build relationships with suppliers and strategic partners to support and drive continuous improvement initiatives. /li liWork closely with other departments to align on customer needs, cost reduction opportunities, process improvements, and production stability. /li liDefine and monitor resource allocations according to available budget /li /ul h3People leadership /h3 ul liInspire, lead and coach an organisation of team members team leaders to achieve our objectives. /li liDevelop your team by focusing on career development and capability building through ongoing feedback and development planning. /li liEnsure 24/7 operational continuity in the most effective way. Follow‑up of the day‑to‑day activities. /li /ul h3Technical and operational leadership /h3 ul liMonitor and improve Quality Process Control standards and drive root cause analysis for process reliability and maturity.



/li liDevelop short‑ and long‑term plans to grow the capability and capacity of the fab in alignment and support of the RD business units. Convert objectives into specific, actionable goals for the group and individual team members. Ensure performance is actively monitored, evaluated, and guided. /li liDrive improvements in Reliability, Uptime, Utilisation, Preventative Maintenance, and Automation toward operational excellence in the day‑to‑day business of the Fab. /li liMonitor operating budgets and implement cost‑saving initiatives to optimise overhead and reduce the cost per wafer processed. /li liLead and direct engineering activities across both RD and Low Volume Manufacturing (LVM) environments. Your energy and commitment are therefore appreciated by means of a market appropriate salary with many fringe benefits. /p h3Who you are /h3 h3Education, Experience and Technical Competencies /h3 ul liMaster degree in Engineering or Physical Sciences. /li liMin. 5 years of experience in people management and 8 years of experience in semiconductor wafer processing. /li liSound experience in machine / operations maintenance, problem solving and project management. /li liAffinity with infrastructure and facilities in an industrial, preferably semiconductor, environment. /li liStrong safety and health awareness.
