ph3Job Description /h3 h3ISP Preschool Teacher Assistant Role Profile /h3 h3Purpose of Role /h3 pThe Preschool Teacher Assistant supports the lead teacher in creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating learning environment for young children. This role involves assisting with classroom management, preparing instructional materials, supervising children during activities, and promoting positive social, emotional, and cognitive development. We positively engage with personal and professional development and school improvement. /p h3Key Responsibilities /h3 h3Support Classroom Instruction /h3 pAssist the lead teacher in implementing daily lesson plans, learning activities, and educational games that align with the preschool curriculum. /p h3Supervise and Engage Children /h3 pMonitor children during classroom activities, playtime, meals, and outdoor play to ensure safety and promote positive behavior. /p h3Assist with Behavior Management /h3 pReinforce classroom rules and help guide children in developing appropriate social and emotional skills. /p h3Prepare Learning Materials /h3 pHelp set up and organize classroom materials, resources,
and displays to support hands‑on learning and creativity. /p h3Maintain a Safe and Clean Environment /h3 pEnsure classroom spaces are clean, organized, and free from hazards; assist with sanitizing toys, surfaces, and equipment. /p h3Provide Individualized Support /h3 pOffer one‑on‑one or small group assistance to children who need extra help with activities or emotional support. /p h3Observe and Report /h3 pObserve children's development and behavior; communicate concerns or notable progress to the lead teacher. /p h3Support Routines and Transitions /h3 pHelp children with daily routines such as arrivals, departures, toileting, meals, and rest time, fostering independence and consistency. /p h3Encourage Positive Interaction /h3 pModel respectful, inclusive, and cooperative behavior to promote a positive classroom culture. /p h3Collaborate with Team Members /h3 pWork closely with the lead teacher and other staff to ensure consistency in teaching practices and child care. /p h3Skills /h3 ul liPatience and empathy – Ability to respond calmly and kindly to young children /li liStrong communication skills – With both children and adults (teachers, parents) /li liTeamwork – Collaborative mindset and willingness to follow guidance /li liObservation skills – Able to recognize developmental milestones or concerns /li liCreativity and enthusiasm – Engaging children through play and learning /li liOrganizational skills – Managing materials, routines, and tasks efficiently /li liAdaptability – Comfortable adjusting to changes in schedule or child needs /li liCultural sensitivity – Respectful and inclusive of all backgrounds and abilities. /li /ul h3Qualifications /h3 ul liBachelor´s Degree Lic. Educación Preescolar or equivalent (required)
