This role is responsible for performing field inspections, ensuring compliance with applicable state and local codes, and working closely with contractors, clients, and internal teams throughout the construction process. /p pThis position may be filled at varying levels depending on the candidate’s experience and qualifications. /p h3Key Responsibilities /h3 ul liPerform field inspections across structural, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems /li liEnsure compliance with state and municipal building codes and regulations /li liInterpret construction plans, specifications, and related documents /li liIdentify code violations and provide clear corrective direction /li liPrepare inspection reports and maintain accurate documentation /li liAssist contractors, architects, and the public with code interpretation and inspection processes /li liConduct site investigations and support resolution of construction-related issues /li liCollaborate with internal teams and participate in project-related meetings /li /ul h3Work Location /h3 pSanta Rosa, Auburn, Fairfield, California /p h3Requirements /h3 h3Minimum Qualifications /h3 ul li3+ years of building inspection or construction experience /li liExperience with residential, commercial,



or industrial projects /li liWorking knowledge of building codes and construction practices /li liExperience working with a city or county jurisdiction preferred /li /ul h3Experience Leveling /h3 ul liCandidates with 5+ years of experience may be considered for more senior responsibilities /li liLevel and compensation will be determined based on experience and qualifications /li /ul h3Education /h3 ul liAssociate’s degree in construction management, building sciences, public/business administration, or related field (or equivalent experience) /li /ul h3Certifications (Preferred) /h3 ul liICC Building Inspector /li liICC Building Plans Examiner /li liICC Certified Building Official /li liCASp, LEED, or Build It Green certifications /li /ul h3Licenses /h3 ul liValid California Driver’s License /li /ul h3Skills Abilities /h3 ul liAbility to interpret construction plans and specifications /li liStrong understanding of building systems (structural, electrical, plumbing, mechanical) /li liAbility to identify defects and ensure code compliance /li liStrong communication skills, both written and verbal /li liAbility to work effectively with contractors, clients, and internal teams /li liComfortable using computers and inspection/reporting systems /li /ul h3Benefits /h3 pDCCM offers a highly competitive compensation package based on experience.
