In this Tech Lead role, you will drive AI-powered development to ship robust backend features for Deel’s global platform. You’ll lead cross-functional collaboration to deliver scalable, production-grade solutions across 150+ countries. You’ll act as a technical owner, guiding architecture, reviews, and deployment while leveraging Claude to accelerate delivery. • Collaborate with Product Managers, Frontend Engineers, Designers, and QA to define scope and create seamless experiences
• Make technical decisions that optimize team efficiency and align with company-wide tooling and strategies
• Leverage AI coding tools like Claude to accelerate development, while critically reviewing AI-generated code
• Build and ship AI-driven products, workflows, and agents from discovery to deployment
• Contribute across the Software Development Lifecycle, including architecture, design feedback, and deployment strategies

• Own end-to-end delivery of features (design, develop, test, deploy, monitor, iterate)
• Maintain high-quality, customer-focused development through rigorous testing and quality engineering

• Unblock teams with clear debugging, fast issue resolution, and proactive problem solving
• Adhere to Deel’s code review, testing, deployment, and operational standards
• Maintain accountability for service excellence and performance optimization
• Follow information security practices and cost-consciousness in all decisions
• Demonstrate strong remote collaboration and async communication in distributed teams

Responsabilidades
• 10+ years as Backend/Software Engineer
• 2+ years in Tech Lead or Senior role
• Proficiency in NodeJS or Python
• Strong SQL and NoSQL skills, with PostgreSQL and ORMs (Sequelize, TypeORM)
• Experience shipping real AI products and production features using Claude
• Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
• Strong remote collaboration and async communication in distributed teams
• Ownership mindset from design to production and proactive problem solving
• Security-conscious coding and compliance awareness
• Cost-awareness for infrastructure and team velocity
