We embrace a strong risk culture and all our professionals at all levels are expected to take a proactive and responsible approach toward risk management. /ppbSantander Corporate Investment Banking (Santander CIB) /b is Santander's integral division that supports some of the world's most complex and sophisticated corporate and institutional clients, offering customized services and value-added wholesale products to best meet their needs. /ph3THE DIFFERENCE YOU MAKE /h3pbGlobal Export Agency Finance /bis looking for an Associate based out of our bMadrid /b Office. /ppAs an Associate you will be part of the bGlobal Export and Agency Finance /b team which leads the origination and structuring of bExport and Agency transactions /b in close coordination with our offices around the globe. /ph3Context and role definition /h3pThe Global Export and Agency Finance team is the front office origination and execution platform for Export Credit Agency (ECA covered and MLAs transactions) globally. /ppThe team works closely with clients, ECAs and internal stakeholders to originate, structure and execute tailored financing solutions across sectors and geographies. /ppThe Associate will be an integral part of deal teams, supporting business development efforts while playing an active role throughout the execution lifecycle of transactions. The role offers broad exposure to the full spectrum of ECA-backed financing structures,
with responsibilities that can evolve over time towards origination and/or structuring, depending on business needs and individual strengths. /ppThe successful candidate will be highly motivated, analytical, and able to perform in a demanding and fast-paced environment, with increasing interaction with clients and external counterparties. /ph3Key responsibilities: /h3ulliSupport senior team members in the origination and execution of ECA-covered financing transactions, globally. /liliContribute to business development activities, including client pitches, opportunity screening and coordination with bankers and ECAs. /liliDrive internal coordination processes across relevant stakeholders (Risk, Legal, Compliance, ES, Syndication, Middle Office, Project Finance, etc.). /liliPrepare high-quality marketing, credit and internal materials, ensuring strong analytical content and professional presentation standards. /liliCoordinate the transaction execution process through internal approval stages (business committees, Risk approvals, legal sign-off, etc.). /liliActively participate in the structuring and documentation phase, with particular focus on core finance documentation and ECA policies. /liliContribute to the development of value-added financing solutions, supporting the evolution of more complex structures. /liliSupport and mentor junior team members, fostering collaboration and knowledge sharing. /liliContribute to a flexible, dynamic and team-oriented working culture. /li /ulh3WHAT YOU’LL BRING /h3pOur people are our greatest strength. (Required) /liliSolid understanding of Export Finance and/or non-recourse financing structures and related legal and contractual frameworks. (Requiered) /li /ulh3Education /h3ulliBachelor’s degree required, preferably in Finance, Accounting, Economics or Engineering. (Prefered) /li /ulh3Hard Skills /h3ulliStrong structured finance fundamentals and ability to assess transaction risks.
