As Infrastructure Tech Lead at Deel, you will shape the foundational infrastructure that powers hundreds of engineers across a hyper-growth organization. You’ll stay close to architecture and code while steering the roadmap and elevating the team’s output. Your focus is the application layer—building scalable services, observability, and tooling that enable fast, secure deployment at global scale. This role blends hands-on engineering with technical leadership in a high-velocity environment. You’ll have a clear impact on how Deel delivers reliable, enterprise-grade infrastructure for a diverse, general workforce.

• Set technical direction for the Infra Core team and drive architecture decisions
• Write and review production-grade code while shaping the roadmap
• Build control plane, tooling, and infrastructure primitives used by hundreds of engineers
• Automate provisioning, environment setup, and secure workflows to accelerate service deployments
• Own incident escalation, automate toil, and reduce operational noise
• Lead edge routing and traffic management projects at scale
• Drive secrets management and security posture improvements across the platform




• Advance application observability with OpenTelemetry and scalable logging pipelines
• Develop real-time infrastructure capabilities (e.g., WebSocket) to support AI-agent workloads
• Collaborate cross-functionally with DevOps, DBA, InfoSec, and product engineering teams

Responsabilidades
• 10+ years of professional software engineering
• 5+ years focused on infrastructure (AWS/GCP, Kubernetes, Helm, GitOps, CNCF)
• 2+ years in a technical leadership role (player-coach, no HR management)
• Proven experience with distributed, event-driven architectures
• Strong Kubernetes design and operations experience
• Solid operational experience with PostgreSQL/MySQL
• Production-grade coding in Node.js, JavaScript/TypeScript, Go, or Python
• Excellent written and verbal communication
• Bias for action and ability to ship complex infrastructure projects
