Boult is a leading European patent, design and trade mark firm recognised throughout the IP world for its commercial awareness and commitment to clients. The core principles of the firm are quality, market understanding and sound judgement – constant themes since it was founded in 1894. Our roots are in the UK but we have now evolved into a European firm with a general practice.
Our team has an unparalleled ability to apply expert strategic and commercial thinking to any IP problem. Our British, German and Spanish offices work together both closely and collaboratively and our strong presence across jurisdictions both inside and outside of the EU means we can handle work at a national, European regional and international level.
What sets us apart from other firms is our approach to people. Externally, we work hard to develop close relationships with our clients, so that we can provide tailored advice, whether they are multinational corporations, universities and other research establishments, attorney firms, SMEs and private inventors, across Europe, the Far East, North America and elsewhere. We pride ourselves on our clear and relaxed communication style, and we work to demanding deadlines in the most complex areas of technology.
As a team, we are friendly and personable, and we think that this is what drives clients to choose us and stay with us – some of our clients have been with us for decades.
The firm has 41 partners, some 60 other professional personnel and a total of over 230 staff, and operates from offices in London, Frankfurt, Munich, Madrid, Cambridge and Reading.
