The Company

STALICLA is an international, clinical-stage neuropsychiatry company developing precision treatments for complex neurological and psychiatric disorders. The company combines its clinically validated DEPI neuro-precision platform with a portfolio of Phase 2 and Phase 3-ready clinical assets.

STALICLA’s proprietary DEPI platform identifies biologically defined patient subgroups and matches them with therapies most likely to benefit them, addressing one of the central challenges in central nervous system drug development. The platform has already generated two precision autism programs that are ready to advance into Phase 2 clinical development.

STALICLA also holds a Phase 3-ready asset targeting reward-system disorders, with its pivotal development program fully funded by the US government. Multiple clinical readouts are expected through 2028, supporting the company’s planned path towards an initial public offering.

Position

Title: Chief Operations Officer

Location: World Trade Center, Barcelona

Duration: Initial 6 to 12 months, with the intention to convert to permanent

Salary: Competitive - depending on experience and profile The role

Reporting to the Founder and CEO, the COO runs STALICLA’s day to day operations and program strategy, helping carry the company through its Series C crossover and on toward an IPO. Full-time for an initial 6 to 12 months, with the intention to convert to permanent on a successful raise. Barcelona based.

This is a genuinely hands-on role. You would own operations across the group and be in the detail yourself,



not directing from a distance. You would work alongside a team of scientific, clinical, regulatory and CMC experts to deliver the programs.

Operations and program delivery

- Run day-to-day operations and corporate management with the CEO, turning strategy into clear, executable plans and holding the group to them.
- Own program management across the pipeline, keeping studies, supply and manufacturing coordinated, on plan, on budget and on timeline, and contracting and steering vendors as needed.
- Lead investor and pharma-partner due diligence end to end, pulling together the operational, clinical, regulatory, CMC and IP information across the company and running the data room.
- Support regulatory interactions with the FDA, EMA and other agencies, keeping submissions and responses on track.
- Build, improve and document the processes, controls and ways of working the company needs as it scales toward the public markets.
- Structure and steer the STALICLA Working Groups, align the management team on execution, and coordinate people, teams, partners and vendors around the priorities that matter.
- Track and control operational budgets and vendor spend in collaboration with the CFO.




- Oversee alliance-partner contracts and maintain strong external partner relationships.
- Lead operational HR planning and hiring, and keep the company meeting its business and regulatory obligations.

Intellectual property and strategy

- Own the patent portfolio and IP lifecycle, working with the CEO and IP counsel.
- Factor IP position and strategy into program planning, partnering discussions and the company’s corporate direction.
- Keep IP considerations aligned with the development roadmap and the path to the public markets.

What we are looking for In short: an operations leader from a clinical-stage biotech who is genuinely hands-on, understands the full development lifecycle of Phase 2/3 programs including CMC, trial design and regulatory, can own IP strategy alongside the programs, and thrives close to the detail in a fast-moving team taking a company toward the public markets.
