The Design Engineer is responsible for developing and refining / improving products, sub-assemblies and components to meet functional, reliability, and safety requirements. This role involves developing detailed designs, managing interfaces, and ensuring robustness through analysis and optimization. It requires close collaboration across disciplines to deliver innovative,
manufacturable solutions aligned with technical and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Design & Review System Elements / Components / Sub Assemblies
- Contribute to the DfSR process (P-Diagram, Interface Diagram, Interface matrix / Architecture View, DFMEA, FTA)
- Define Components / Sub-Assemblies Mission Profile
- Perform DFMEA Mitigation actions, Design Optimization & Tolerance stack-up - Manage simulation.
- Manage Variants, Versions, Baselines of the prototypes at the data and physical level
- Create, modify, and validate the Definition File (including BOM, drawings and material selection) of parts and sub-assemblies in accordance with technical specifications, drawing rules, customer expectations, manufacturability and supply chain constraints (including cost target)
- Write parts and sub-assemblies Verification Test Plan and manage its execution
