At ASTEK Iberia , we are looking for an Optimization Engineer with a passion for process technology, advanced analytics, and industrial digital transformation. Whether your background is in Control Engineering with process knowledge or Chemical Engineering with an interest in automation and optimization , we'd love to hear from you.

? Main responsibilities:

- Design, develop, and implement Real-Time Optimization (RTO) applications for process industries.
- Build and maintain online process models to ensure high system reliability and performance.
- Analyze plant operations and identify opportunities for optimization and efficiency improvements.
- Work directly with customers as a trusted technical advisor, helping them maximize value from installed solutions.
- Collaborate with integral engineering teams on innovative optimization projects across refining, petrochemical, and chemical industries.

? Who are you?

- Degree in Chemical Engineering , Control Engineering , or a related discipline.
- Strong understanding of industrial process operations and process interactions.
- Experience with process simulation and modeling.
- Knowledge of equipment and systems such as: Distillation columns, Compressors and expanders, Heat-integrated processes, Refinery conversion units
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication skills and customer-oriented mindset.
- Professional proficiency in English.

Nice to Have
- Experience with Model Predictive Control (MPC) and process optimization.
- Knowledge of equation-based modeling and optimization solvers (SQP).
- Familiarity with SQL, VBA, OPC communications, TCL scripting , or related technologies.




- Additional language skills (German, French, Russian, etc.).
