Description The Procurement & Packaging Buyer is responsible for purchasing, supplier management and packaging expertise for bottles, closures, labels, trays, packaging components and other production support materials. The role ensures that the right materials are selected, validated, sourced and available on time, at the right cost and in line with customer, quality and production requirements.

Responsibilities

- Act as internal packaging expert for bottles, closures, labels, trays and other dry materials used in customer and white-label projects.

- Support customers and Sales in selecting suitable bottle and packaging options based on product positioning, technical compatibility, supplier availability and cost impact.

- Check customer-provided packaging materials, drawings, dimensions and specifications before approval for production use.

- Maintain and develop an approved bottle and packaging database, including standard options, supplier contacts, specifications, prices and lead times.

- Manage supplier communication, quotations, order confirmations, delivery dates, samples, pre-specifications and required technical documentation.

- Raise, release and follow up purchase agreements and purchase orders for packaging and production support materials.





- Coordinate packaging samples and pre-specifications for Quality, Production and customer approval before purchasing or production.

- Ensure purchase prices, supplier data and material information are accurate and updated in SAP or relevant company systems.

- Monitor supplier performance, delivery reliability, claims, credit notes, corrective actions and open supplier issues.

- Work closely with Supply Chain, Production, Quality, Sales and Finance to secure material availability and avoid delays, urgent freight or quality issues.

Knowledge & Skills

- Hands-on, highly organized and accurate working style.

- Strong understanding of packaging materials, bottle specifications, closures, labels and supplier documentation.

- Excellent communication and negotiation skills with suppliers and internal stakeholders.

- Service-oriented, solution-oriented and able to support customers with practical packaging advice.

- Able to manage complicated tasks, priorities and supplier follow-up under pressure.

- Experience in procurement, packaging, supply chain or operations; food / beverage industry is an advantage.

- Knowledge of SAP, and Microsoft Office software.

- Fluent English and Spanish
