As Project Director Cost Management in Madrid, you lead cost management professionals and multidisciplinary teams to deliver value-driven cost solutions for data centre projects. You’ll shape client strategies, drive cost reporting and controls, and mentor a growing team to achieve high-quality outcomes. This role combines strategic oversight with hands-on leadership across pre- and post-contract work, delivering impact for clients and the firm.

You’ll work closely with cross-functional teams to sustain growth in a global, client-centric business.

- Lead multidisciplinary project teams including clients, consultants, contractors, and suppliers
- Serve as the day-to-day client interface to ensure objectives are met via value-added cost management services
- Facilitate structured communication and documentation across stakeholders
- Build and maintain relationships to ensure alignment and successful outcomes
- Line-manage and develop cost managers and team members
- Guide team through performance reviews, integrity standards, and growth
- Develop cost benchmarks and KPIs to support project strategy
- Establish robust cost reporting structures and control mechanisms
- Act as Commission Manager for end-to-end service delivery on large or multiple commissions
- Manage estimating and cost planning and present final cost plans




- Produce monthly post-contract cost reports and present to clients
- Lead value engineering and life cycle costing exercises
- Implement cost controls across project schedule, cost, risk, and change management
- Monitor budgets and financial performance with the team
- Lead commercial negotiations and contract administration with clients
- Oversee invoicing processes using D-365 and coordinate with finance for timely submissions
- Support business development with opportunity identification and client insights
- Capture lessons learned and benchmark best practices for continuous improvement

Responsabilidades

- Degree in Quantity Surveying, Engineering, Construction Management, or related field
- Minimum 10 years' cost management experience
- Broad experience across cost management: planning, xugodme estimating, pre-contract, post-contract, final account
- Experience preparing Cost Management estimates and reports
- Experience advising on value management, value engineering, and life cycle costing
- Understanding of cost components (labour, plant, materials) and overall project costs
- Experience with business development aspects
- Strong organizational, multitasking, and team-working abilities
- Excellent presentation, verbal, written, and communication skills
- Working knowledge of MS Office and modern cost management digital tools
- English required; Spanish preferred
