Hardware Security Expert - SoC Security / Semiconductors

We are partnered with an innovative and fast-growing processor IP company. The team is looking to hire a Hardware Security Expert to own the architecture and design of the hardware Root of Trust, define SoC security requirements, and lead vulnerability management across pre-silicon and fielded products.

This is a permanent, onsite opportunity based in Barcelona, Spain.

Key responsibilities for this Hardware Security Expert position:

- Define and lead the hardware security strategy and roadmap in collaboration with the security and certification team.
- Own the hardware Root of Trust architecture and define SoC security requirements spanning secure boot, cryptographic IP, key storage, and provisioning.
- Lead triage, analysis, and mitigation of hardware vulnerabilities across pre-silicon and fielded products.
- Translate high-level security requirements into concrete RTL-level architectures and microarchitectural mitigations.
- Oversee hardware product compliance with public and private security regulations.
- Stay current with the latest developments in silicon security, privilege boundaries, and trust architectures.

Key requirements:

- Master's or PhD in Electrical/Electronic Engineering,



Computer Engineering, or related field.
- 5+ years of SoC or processor design and microarchitecture experience.
- Deep hands-on proficiency in SystemVerilog or Verilog with full-lifecycle RTL ownership.
- Strong understanding of SoC security models
- Knowledge of RISC-V privileged architecture and security extensions.
- Practical experience in hardware vulnerability research
- Proficiency in C and working knowledge of assembly.
- Familiarity with fault injection, side-channel analysis, or PQC a plus.
