ppIENAI SPACE is an early-stage startup located in Madrid, developing an end-to-end ecosystem of in-space mobility products, including propulsion systems and engineering SaaS. We are a highly innovative company in the “New Space” sector; the team is made up of a dynamic and multidisciplinary group of engineers, PhDs and developers, looking to revolutionize space mobility for the adoption of propulsion products in the smallest of satellites. We believe this is possible because we rely on our values: bInfinite Innovation, Extraterrestrial Excellence, Planetary Passion and Cosmic Collaboration /b. /ph3How will you contribute to IENAI SPACE? /h3pAs bMission Analyst /b, you will contribute to the technical development of mission design, flight dynamics and software solutions supporting space missions, as well as to customer-facing activities around our software products. This role combines solid hands‑on experience in mission analysis with good software development skills and a collaborative mindset, delivering high-quality engineering work within a multidisciplinary team. Reporting to the Mission Analysis Tech Lead, you will participate in mission analysis studies, contribute to the development and validation of advanced software tools, and support customers in making the most of our solutions. /ph3Your main responsibilities will include: /h3ulliPerform mission analysis tasks including trajectory design, propulsion sizing, spacecraft maneuver planning, and feasibility assessments, as part of internal projects and consulting contracts with industry stakeholders. /liliDevelop, test and validate software models and simulations for mission analysis and flight dynamics, ensuring accuracy and consistency with engineering requirements. /liliContribute to the development of advanced software solutions,
with a focus on meeting customer needs and maintaining high standards of quality, testing and documentation, particularly for the 360 tool. /liliSupport customers in the use of company tools and solutions, providing technical guidance under the supervision of the Tech Lead. /liliCollaborate in the preparation of technical proposals for national and international opportunities. /liliWork closely with engineering, operations and system design teams to help ensure mission requirements are met. /li /ulh3What is your department like? /h3pYou will be part of our bMission Analysis and Operations department /b, which is in charge of the development of our 360 tool, both in terms of software development and providing mission analysis services. /ph3What will make you succeed? /h3h3Technical Requirements /h3ulliMaster's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Software Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related field. /liliApproximately 3 years of hands‑on experience in mission analysis within the space sector. /liliGood understanding of spacecraft modeling and key subsystems, including propulsion, ADCS, power, communications and thermal control. /liliFamiliarity with mission analysis and flight dynamics tools or libraries such as GMAT, STK, Orekit, FreeFlyer, or equivalent. /liliProficiency in Python and/or Julia. Knowledge of additional languages such as MATLAB or C is considered an asset. /liliUnderstanding of software engineering practices, including object‑oriented programming, test‑driven development and version control. Familiarity with CI/CD, UX/UI or DevSecOps environments (e.g., Docker, AWS) is a plus. /liliSolid grounding in orbital and attitude mechanics, optimization, and spacecraft operations. Experience with spacecraft maneuvering is valued.
