Key Responsibilities
You may be responsible for executing daily same‑day or next‑day volume and capacity planning, sequencing delivery routes or monitoring volume flow, affecting tens of thousands of packages at EU level. This will be done through the use of tools and coordination within the station and other teams. You will be accountable for planning accuracy, cost and customer experience.
In addition, you will be instrumental in developing best practices and standard work for the network, ensuring that targets and service deadlines are met according to regulatory requirements. You will play a proactive role in written and verbal communication with various departments, maintaining Amazon’s exceptionally high levels of service for customers and suppliers, facilitating the flow of information between different stakeholders and resolving any potential issues that impact business continuity.
You will also maintain and report up‑to‑date and accurate statistics, management reports and analysis, step back at strategic intervals to take in the bigger picture, conduct research into process improvement initiatives and make real‑time decisions.
A Day in the Life
As a Logistics Scheduler you will work across the EU in a cross‑functional environment with the Supply Chain, Distribution Centers and Ground Transportation teams to support day‑to‑day operations and ensure the timely delivery of heavy/bulky shipments to customers.
Qualifications and Skills
- - Experience working with data and analytics
- Speak, write, and read fluently in English
- Experience working with the MS Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) in a professional environment
- Relevant experience communicating with senior stakeholders and leadership
- Previous experience within transportation or logistics
- Working experience with programming and coding languages (SQL or Python)
