Project Manager – Space Sector

Location: Tres Cantos, Madrid | Alter Technology TÜV NORD

Are you passionate about the Space industry and looking for your next challenge in a highly technical and international environment? At Alter Technology TÜV NORD, we’re looking for a Project Manager to lead complex space‑equipment testing campaigns, working with some of the most innovative companies in the aerospace sector.

Responsibilities

- Lead the complete lifecycle of space testing projects, from customer requirements to final delivery.
- Coordinate multidisciplinary teams and manage technical, commercial and operational activities.
- Plan and oversee test campaigns, including EMC, Vibration, Shock Response Spectrum (SRS) and Thermovacuum testing.
- Ensure compliance with ESA/ECSS, MIL‑STD and other applicable standards.
- Manage project planning, budgets, risks, resources and customer communication.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives and support the development of new testing services for the New Space ecosystem.

Qualifications

- Degree in Aerospace, Electronics, Telecommunications, Industrial, Mechanical Engineering,



Physics or similar.
- At least 2 years of experience in technical project management, ideally in the Space or Testing sector.
- Knowledge of ESA/ECSS and MIL‑STD standards.
- Strong project planning, communication and customer management skills.
- Business‑oriented mindset with a focus on quality and service excellence.
- Fluent English.

Nice to Have

- PMP or Project Management certification.
- Experience in accredited laboratories or complex technical environments.
- Knowledge of the New Space ecosystem.
