ph3Description /h3 pAs a Design Electrical/Mechanical Engineer, you will lead design projects in operational data centers that remediate issues, upgrade our existing infrastructure and add new services. You will be the "go to" engineering resource for these projects and will provide lifecycle support from design through implementation. /p h3Key job responsibilities /h3 ul liPerform design and equipment submittal review for Data Centers in your region. /li liInterface with internal and external data center design engineering team, server hardware team, environmental health and safety team, field engineering, and controls engineering to promote standards that maintain consistency and reliability in services delivered. /li liWork on concurrent projects, sometimes in multiple geographical regions and act as a technical subject matter expert for your given discipline. /li liSupport construction, commissioning, operations, and turnover. Be detail- and data-oriented with familiarity with design/construction processes. /li liHave experience managing engineering projects and engineering consultants. Build trust and relationships with different stakeholders (e.g., Operations, Commissioning, Construction and Design). /li /ul h3A day in the life /h3 pEach day you will interact with different teams responsible for various aspects of the data centers. You will mentor and oversee the work of junior engineers in your discipline. You will have the opportunity to work on projects locally and globally, with up to 25% travel. /p h3About the team /h3 pAWS Infrastructure Services owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS integral infrastructure. We support all AWS data centers and all of the servers, storage, networking, power,
and cooling equipment that ensure our customers have continual access to the innovation they rely on. /p h3Basic Qualifications /h3 ul liBachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field /li liExperience in industrial or commercial engineering in mission critical facilities including but not limited to: data centers, power generation or oil and gas facilities /li liExperience researching new designs, technologies, and construction methods of data center equipment and facilities /li /ul h3Preferred Qualifications /h3 ul liProfessional Engineer License /li liExperience with building codes and regulations for your region /li liExperience carrying design concepts through exploration, development, and into deployment or mass production /li liExperience reading, interpreting, and creating construction drawings, specifications, and submittal documents /li /ul pAmazon is an equal opportunities employer.
