ph3Powertrain Competitive Costing Project Manager /h3pWe are looking for a Powertrain Competitive Costing Project Manager to join the Benchmark and Product Intelligence team in the automotive powertrain sector. The main goal of this project is to analyze and compare the costs of powertrain systems and components against competitors, providing strategic insights to optimize design and processes and maintain general competitiveness. This role is part of the RD and Advanced Engineering Department, based in Valladolid or Madrid. /ph3Responsibilities /h3ulliDevelop internal Competitive Costing processes and tools. /liliCollect data for cost analysis using internal and external teardown information. /liliIdentify cost drivers, material choices, manufacturing processes, and sourcing strategies used by competitors. /liliMaintain a database of benchmarked cost data for current and future projects. /liliPerform cost assessments for powertrain systems (engines, transmissions, batteries, etc.). /liliPrepare detailed should-cost analyses and gap analyses. /liliCoordinate with internal engineering, procurement, and finance teams to validate assumptions and ensure data accuracy. /liliCreate reports and presentations summarizing findings, cost differentials, and strategic recommendations. /li /ulh3Profile Description /h3ulliEducation: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering or related field. /liliExperience: Minimum 7 years in powertrain cost analysis within the automotive industry. /liliExpertise in cost benchmarking, teardown analysis, and competitive intelligence. /liliProficiency in costing software (preferably Siemens Costing). /liliStrong analytical skills and experience with cost modeling tools. /liliAbility to interpret technical and financial data. /liliExcellent communication and presentation skills. /liliProject management experience.
