We're looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join the EMI team, supporting Powens' electronic money institution services, including unlimited IBAN accounts, Direct Debit, Pay by Bank, card pay-ins, and instant SEPA pay-outs, all delivered through one API and one dashboard. Design, develop, and maintain scalable, high-performance software systems.

Build and improve testing automation to catch regressions before they reach production. Write unit and integration tests as a core part of your development process.



Improve monitoring and visibility into transaction errors and bottlenecks using tools like Grafana.

Collaborate with the Product Owner, Tech Lead, and other stakeholders to gather requirements and design effective solutions. Contribute to code quality through code reviews. 2-3 years of software engineering experience. ~ Strong knowledge of software design principles and patterns. ~ Strong proficiency in Go or one of theses languages (C, C++, C#, Kotlin or Rust) (Python is a plus). ~ Knowledge of key technologies, including Kubernetes, RabbitMQ, SQL & NoSQL databases, Redis, Kafka, and Docker. ~ Fluent English (Spanish and/or French are a plus). ~ Comfortable working asynchronously, with strong written communication skills. ~ Strong self‑management skills, with the ability to prioritize independently in a remote‑friendly environment. ~ Able to see projects through to completion while staying open to feedback and new approaches. ~ Familiarity with AWS and core cloud‑based web technologies is a plus. ~ Case Study Review with Tech Lead Women are under-represented in the fintech industry.
