LASING Microsystems is seeking a Technical Project Manager to coordinate the development and delivery of advanced laser micromachining systems while supporting the execution of national and European R&D; projects.
This multidisciplinary role combines engineering project management with scientific R&D; coordination. The successful candidate will work closely with our engineering and research teams to ensure that machine development projects are delivered on time, within budget and according to technical specifications, while also contributing to the successful management of collaborative R&D; initiatives.
The idóneo candidate is highly organized, technically minded, and enjoys working at the interface between engineering, research and innovation. Main responsibilities
Coordinate the development, manufacturing and delivery of custom laser micromachining systems.
Plan project schedules, resources, milestones and priorities across multiple projects.
Coordinate multidisciplinary teams, including mechanical, electrical, software and laser engineers.
Manage suppliers, subcontractors and procurement activities.
Monitor project progress, identify risks and ensure timely project execution.
Support the management of national and European R&D; projects, including planning, reporting, deliverables and consortium coordination.
Contribute to improving internal project management processes and engineering workflows. Required qualifications
PhD in Engineering, Physics or another scientific or technical discipline (required).
Proven experience managing complex technical or engineering projects.
Excellent organizational, communication and problem-solving skills.
Ability to coordinate multidisciplinary technical teams.
Professional level of English. Technical background
Candidates should have sufficient technical knowledge to understand and coordinate engineering developments.
Experience in one or more of the following areas will be highly valued:
Scientific instrumentation or high-tech equipment.
Mechatronics, motion systems and industrial automation.
Electronics and PCB fundamentals.
Mechanical design and manufacturing processes.
Scientific software or hardware integration.
Precision engineering and system integration.
Previous experience with optics or laser technologies is considered an advantage but is not required. Additional desirable experience
Experience in one or more of the following will be considered a strong advantage:
Management of publicly funded R&D; projects (e.g.
Horizon
Europe, Eurostars, CDTI or similar).
Technical reporting, project justification and consortium coordination.
Innovation funding and R&D; tax incentive schemes.
Previous experience in technology companies, research organizations or engineering consultancies. What we offer
