Title: Collaboration agreement between the Regional Ministry of Culture, Education, Vocational Training and Universities and the Universities of A Coruña, Santiago de Compostela and Vigo for the Reinforcement of Staff for the Management of Transfer and Innovation and the Consolidation of Research Structures 2023–2026

TIMETABLE OF EVENTS FOR THE RECRUITMENT OF LABOUR RESEARCH STAFF BY RESEARCH AREAS AND STRATEGIC PRIORITIES

The Galician Research Centre (CITIC) comprises more than 300 researchers. As part of the network of research centres within the Galician University System,



it provides research staff with high-performance and specialised computing infrastructure that facilitates the execution of projects in the fields of artificial intelligence, data science and engineering, high-performance computing, smart services and networks, and cybersecurity.

Responsibilities

-

- Support for the management and control of CITIC’s high‑capacity data centre, including updates and monitoring of maintenance contracts.

- Support for the administration of the virtualisation infrastructure, including resource allocation and monitoring of activity.

- Server monitoring and administration, responding to hardware and software failures.

- Support for the management of network storage systems.

- Installation and maintenance of security systems to prevent attacks and unauthorised access.

- Backup management for the Centre’s critical components.

- Management of network access for researchers and servers, acting as the point of contact with the UDC’s network services.

- Support for the maintenance and monitoring of the servers providing services to the Centre (document management, web, storage, etc.).

- Propose and coordinate changes to improve the operation of systems and applications.

- Technical support for Centre staff.

Qualifications

- Vocational Training (FP)



qualification of equivalent or higher level.

- Up‑to‑date employment history report and employment contracts (or RETA registration for self‑employed).

- Certificates issued by the relevant official body for research projects.

- Official language proficiency certificate (e.G., CEFR, Cambridge, DELE, EOI).

- Meeting the requirements specified in Article 8 of the Regulations on the Recruitment of Contract Staff (Chapter 6).

Contract Conditions

Funding for the contract may be provided, in whole or in part, by any other project or grant associated with the Research Line, even prior to the end of the initial months, provided that adequate and sufficient funding is available. Pursuant to the provisions of Article 5 of Instruction 2/2025, of 17 March 2025, issued by the Vice‑Rectorate for Research and Transfer, regulating the registration of research and strategic lines and the recruitment of research staff funded from these lines, the validity of this permanent contract is subject to the continued need for the tasks and the existence of adequate and sufficient funding within the research line. xhfqzwm The exhaustion of the funding allocated to the line, or the completion of the technical activities justifying the post without the possibility of redeployment, shall constitute objective grounds for termination of the contract (Article 52(e) of the Workers’ Statute).
