ppJob Description /p pIngredion is seeking a bPayroll Specialist /b to enhance our payroll team. The Payroll Team provides support to the America’s based businesses in the areas of payroll processing controls, payroll related reporting, Audit Support and Payroll analytics. The payroll specialist role will be responsible for the accurate and timely processing of payroll and will report directly to the Payroll Supervisor. /p pResponsibilities: /p ul liOwn and manage workflow of pay groups as assigned to ensure bi-weekly payrolls are processed in a timely and accurate manner /li liProcess and audit employee updates as it relates to compensation, job changes, transfers, garnishments/levies and terminations /li liResolve payroll discrepancies, process adjustments, manual checks /li liProvide excellent customer service to employee, vendor and manager inquiries /li liResponsible in ensuring that the appropriate approvals are received from the sites and performs follow-ups when required. /li liRespond to tax notices and all other mailings /li liComplete verification of employment and unemployment requests /li liRespond to internal/external audits and reporting requests with the Analyst /li liWork closely with Team Lead and Supervisor to continuously improve skills and knowledge of payroll /li liWillingness to accept and complete other projects as assigned /li liEnforce and maintain SOX RACM compliance for policies and procedures /li liEscalate Issues that arise with urgency /li liOther Duties as assigned /li /ul pRequirements: /p ul liUniversity degree in Accounting or related field /li li2+ years payroll experience including both exempt and non-exempt payroll and knowledge of union implications to payroll related processing /li liStrong knowledge of policies and procedures of payroll /li liDemonstrated ability to handle confidential material /li liAdvanced computer skills, including Excel /li liExcellent analytical and problem-solving skills /li liStrong organizational and time-management skills /li liHigh degree of accuracy and attention to detail /li liExcellent and professional verbal and written communication skills /li liDemonstrated understanding of multi-state wage and labor laws /li liExcellent communication, customer service and organizational skills /li /ul pContinuous improvement attitude to seek out and implement best practices /p pIngredion uses AI-enabled tools to support parts of the recruitment process, including resume screening and interview scheduling.
