In this role you lead complex capital investment projects within a regulated life sciences environment, guiding cross-functional teams to deliver on time, budget, and quality. You collaborate with sponsors to justify projects, manage scope and KPIs, and ensure compliance with quality, regulatory, and safety standards. You will drive initiatives across construction, commissioning, and handover to operations, shaping how Lonza delivers Medicines of Tomorrow. This position offers a hands-on leadership role with meaningful impact on efficiency, compliance, and project outcomes.
Compensaciones / Incentivos
• Lead multidisciplinary teams to achieve project goals within scope, budget, and schedule baselines
• Develop business cases, cost-benefit analyses, and implementation plans for project approval
• Define URS, project scope, budgets, and timetables for assigned projects
• Ensure adherence to project objectives, KPIs, and business strategy (e.g., sustainability)
• Oversee CapEx targets and asset capitalization processes
• Manage project budgets with emphasis on fit-for-purpose, simple, effective solutions
• Develop stakeholder communication plans and keep stakeholders engaged throughout the lifecycle
• Review technical specs, procurement packages,
and project documents for engineering standards and procedures
• Monitor milestones, risks, and KPIs with timely escalation as needed
• Oversee construction, commissioning, and qualification through project start-up
• Ensure safe, compliant handover to operations and support operational readiness
• Provide technical guidance and leadership to project team; model safety behaviors
• Promote a proactive safety culture and support new hires with best practices
Responsabilidades
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Industrial Engineering preferred)
• Fluent in English
• Proven experience in capital projects in Pharma u0026 Biotech or related Life Sciences industries
• Experience managing cross-functional project teams and project budgets up to 5–10 million EUR
• Experience with cost control and project management tools; PMP certification desired
• Strong communication, organization, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and analyze complex data
• Intermediate MS Project, AutoCAD, and SAP knowledge
• Knowledge of FDA/EMA cGxP, ASME-BPE, ISPE guidelines
• Proactive, collaborative mindset with focus on safety and continuous improvement
