As Employment Counsel at SiteMinder in Barcelona, you provide expert advice on employee-related matters across employment law, contracts, disputes, and works councils. You will partner with People and Culture and business leaders to manage risk, drive compliant decisions, and support cross-border initiatives in EMEA. Your work will shape how we navigate union representation, regulatory inquiries, and policy harmonisation in a fast-growing tech environment. • Provide expert counsel on employment law issues, including grievances, dismissals, contracts, and benefits.
• Advise People and Culture, management, and leaders on employee relations, risk management, and complex workplace issues.
• Manage works councils, employee representatives, and union-related processes, including consultation and collective bargaining.
• Oversee employment litigation and regulatory compliance in conduct and remuneration matters.
• Monitor regional employment law developments and translate them into actionable policy guidance.




• Support cross-border projects such as policy harmonisation and workforce changes.
• Present clear legal risk analyses that balance practical business considerations.

Responsabilidades
• Law degree with admission to practice in Spain.
• Extensive experience as a qualified employment lawyer in top-tier law firm and/or multinational in-house team.
• Proven success advising on complex Spanish employment law, including works councils and union representation.
• Fluency in English and Spanish with strong communication skills.
• Analytical and pragmatic thinking with ability to provide proactive, innovative advice.
• Excellent relationship management and stakeholder collaboration.
• Comfortable in fast-paced scale-up environments and across time zones.
• Experience working with AI technologies to increase efficiency.
