An environment of innovation and excellence at European level from which senior and junior researchers from around the world develop disruptive technologies and business models that will serve as an engine of socio-economic growth in the medium and long term. /ppWe are looking for an bOptical Fiber Sensors Engineer (FOG Systems) /b to join our Photonics and Quantum Sensing team. /ph3Tasks to be performed: /h3ulliImplementation and assembly of optical fiber sensing subsystems and Fiber Optic Gyroscope (FOG) setups in laboratory environments /liliBuild, integrate and test optical fiber sensing subsystems and FOG setups in laboratory environments /liliWork hands-on with specialty optical fibers (fusion splicing, handling and integration) /liliSet up and execute experimental campaigns to evaluate sensor performance (noise, drift, stability) /liliTroubleshoot and optimize optical and photonic subsystems /liliAnalyze experimental data and validate system performance /liliCollaborate with multidisciplinary teams (electronics, software, mechanics) to develop complete systems /liliDocument testing activities and support the transition from prototype to robust solutions /li /ulh3Required skills, experience and candidate profile: /h3ulliDegree in Physics,



Photonics, Electronic Engineering or related field /lili3–4 years of hands-on experience in optical fiber sensors, photonic systems or FOG /liliStrong laboratory experience in optical instrumentation, integration and testing /liliExperience in system characterization (noise, stability, performance) /liliFamiliarity with optical lab equipment (OSA, oscilloscopes, photodetectors, etc.) /liliExperience in fiber handling and fusion splicing /liliProblem-solving mindset and ability to troubleshoot experimental setups /liliExperience in data analysis /liliHigh level of technical English /li /ulh3Additionally, we will also value experience in the following areas: /h3ulliExperience in inertial sensing or precision instrumentation /liliProgramming skills (Python, MATLAB) /liliExperience in calibration and validation of high-performance systems /liliBackground in aerospace, defense or advanced optical technologies /liliExperience in industrialization or transition from lab to product /liliKnowledge of environmental testing or quantum sensing technologies /li /ulpThe position will be available at both our offices in Tenerife and Madrid. /ppFlexibility to travel between these locations is required. /ppbThink Big, Do the Job Enjoy Life /b /ppbAt ARQUIMEA, we value diversity and inclusion.
