The position will act as a key liaison between Contract Logistics leadership, Group Inland Procurement, regional/local procurement resources and operational stakeholders. /ph3WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO ? /h3h3Establish Contract Logistics Inland Procurement governance and operating model /h3pDefine and implement the dedicated Inland Services procurement organization for Contract Logistics, including governance, decision rights, functional reporting lines, procurement standards and handover rules between integral, regional and local teams. The role will create a clear HO-led structure with functional reporting lines and tailor the transition approach by entity maturity level. /ph3Clarify and control purchased transportation spend /h3pCreate transparency on the total purchased transportation spend across Contract Logistics by consolidating spend visibility, validating data quality, identifying spend owners and classifying services such as parcels, LTL and FTL. Current systems show inconsistent spend views across several sources, and the type of inland service purchased is difficult to track globally, creating a significant need for structured spend governance. /ph3Map current procurement resources and coordinate the Procurement Generalist network /h3pMap the current resources working on transportation procurement and functionally coordinate the Procurement Generalist purchase line, which continues to report operationally into local/site leadership. The role has no direct line management responsibility, but provides dotted-line functional leadership, guidance, standards, performance routines and capability building for the local purchase line involved in operational procurement tasks. /ph3Define and deploy Inland Services procurement strategy /h3pDevelop and implement the procurement strategy for Inland Services in Contract Logistics, aligned with Group Procurement and Contract Logistics business objectives. The role will support or lead procurement strategy definition,



supplier segmentation, sourcing priorities, tendering logic and cost optimization initiatives, while ensuring alignment with wider Group goals and the needs of regional/local operations. /ph3Drive savings, synergy capture and cost optimization /h3pIdentify and deliver savings opportunities through improved procurement structure, structured tendering, benchmarking, supplier panel management, spend consolidation and closer coordination with Ground Rail. The assessment identifies potential savings of USD 7.5-15m based on a 2-4% savings hypothesis on an adjusted approximately USD 375m spend base, and comparative analyses already identified savings opportunities through increased CL/GR procurement synergies. /ph3Lead supplier management, negotiations and tendering standards /h3pLead or support strategic supplier negotiations, supplier qualification, supplier relationship management, performance reviews and tendering processes for Inland Services. The role will ensure that suppliers are systematically challenged, structured rate cards and pricing grids are used where appropriate, and contracts are aligned with operational needs, service expectations and Group procurement standards. /ph3Implement procurement tools, methods and data-driven decision-making /h3pEstablish procurement tools and methods across the organization, including tendering tools, contract databases, supplier relationship management systems, structured rate cards, reporting routines and spend analytics. Digital and analytics-enabled procurement is a recognized lever for improved spend transparency, supplier performance management, risk mitigation and value capture. /ph3Strengthen compliance, risk management and supplier controls /h3pImprove supplier compliance and risk monitoring across Contract Logistics purchased transportation by implementing "way to buy" rules, contract controls, supplier risk reviews, vigilance checks, payment-term monitoring and ethical/sustainability standards. The assessment highlights risks linked to Sapin II, vigilance obligations, illegal work exposure, late payments, legal liability and reputational harm, making this a critical protection role for the Group. /ph3Reporting,



monitoring and executive stakeholder management /h3pProvide structured reporting on spend transparency, supplier performance, savings initiatives, procurement maturity, compliance risks and deployment progress. Purchasing managers are expected to prepare market and cost reports, develop cost reduction plans, negotiate with suppliers and implement purchasing policies and procedures, all of which are core to this role’s management cadence. /ph3WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR? /h3ulliMaster’s degree in Procurement, Supply Chain, International Business, Engineering or a comparable field. /liliAt least 10 years of procurement experience, ideally in transportation, logistics, Contract Logistics or related services. /liliStrong understanding of procurement governance, sourcing, tendering, supplier management and cost optimization. /liliProven experience in defining and deploying procurement strategies, managing large spend categories, leading supplier negotiations and implementing procurement tools and methods. /liliExperience in matrix organizations, senior stakeholder management and coordination of local/regional procurement networks. /liliStrong knowledge of strategic sourcing, category management, supplier relationship management, structured tendering, rate cards, contract databases, SRM tools, spend analytics and procurement performance reporting. Ability to develop cost reduction strategies, savings plans, supplier panels and procurement governance routines. /liliFluency in English /liliCIPS, procurement, supply chain, Lean/Six Sigma, project management or advanced negotiation certification. /liliExperience in international group procurement transformation. /liliExperience in inland transportation, parcels, FTL/LTL, ground transport, 3PL/4PL environments or Contract Logistics purchased transportation.
